Sound Pollution
Imagine, you are in your sleep and having a really good dream. Suddenly, a car honks so loudly that you automatically wake up. Noise pollution is everywhere. You cannot go back to sleep and you hear people shouting and honking even more. Looks like a nightmare, doesn't it? Well, this is a reality in many cities across the world. Over 12000 premature deaths happen every year due to direct causes of sound pollution all over the world as well as 48000 new cases of ischemic heart disease every year. It is starting to become a really major problem. But what makes this different is the fact that it is one of the least discussed topics in environmentalism despite being such a big concern. We must take action to reduce noise pollution. Practices like honking less, giving help to heart and ear-related patients, not playing music too loudly can help greatly. We at hope4green want to bring about a revolution. We want our generation to be remembered not as the one who misused and wasted resources but one which preserved our natural heritage and beauty.
